Didn't quite know what to expect on my trip to Malaysia. Other than the famous KLCC tower, I really didn't know too much about the country nor the culture. My trip started in the city of Kuala Lumpur followed by Penang. You can jump to the Penang trip page..
In order to go to the walkway connecting to two towers, you need to get a ticket early in the morning. Unfortunately, I could never get up early enough to get one. Hey, what do you expect ? I'm on vacation. Near the KLCC twin tower is the KL Tower which looks a lot like the space needle in Seattle. You can get a pretty good view of Kuala Lumpur from the top.
Some of the other attractions include the National Mosque, Railway Station and Sultan Abdul Samad building.
The Sultan Abdul Samad building is suppose to be the most photographed building in KL. I ran into few photographers myself when I was wondering around at night.
The last stop in KL was at a temple built into a cave. The stairs up to the entrance of the cave was a killer especially in the heat. Oh yeah, and monkeys everywhere.
My original plan was to go to Singapore after KL but after talking to some folks, I decided to try another city in Malyasia instead. So, I went to Penang for a couple of days. |
